The twentieth Marveld C Tournament has been opened

Tournament Chairman Mr. Ben Bomers bid all the teams a warm welcome in their own language.

As usual the youngest members of football club SV Grol were allowed to do the official opening ceremony. Proudly the little boys and girls walked across the  field with in their hands a nameplate or the flag of one of the participating teams.  After the flags had been raised the mayor spoke a few words and on his command the children released balloons. “Herewith I declare the jubilee, the 20th Marveld C Tournament officially opened."  Directly afterwards last years winner, Hertha BSC and Real Madrid entered the field to play the opening game.
